Privacy

Clear data. No hidden tracking.

This notice explains the limited information used to understand website performance and review artist submissions.

Cookie-free site analytics

NextGen Sessions uses a first-party analytics endpoint hosted with the website. It does not set analytics cookies, create visitor IDs, use advertising pixels or fingerprint devices.

The analytics dataset stores only:

Typed search terms are not written to the analytics dataset. Site search records only the matched catalogue item identifier, or a generic no-match value. Email contents, listening links, IP addresses and user-agent strings are not written to the custom analytics dataset.

To reduce inflated engagement counts, the browser uses session storage to remember when the same content action has already been counted during the current browser-tab session. Those small session-only markers contain an event name and content identifier, are not sent as a visitor identifier and expire with the browser session.

Aggregated activity is queried server-side for the private NextGen operations dashboard and, when enough activity exists, to calculate a public rolling seven-day Trending list. The public Trending feed exposes release rankings only, not raw visitor data or analytics counts. Workers Analytics Engine stores the custom analytics records for three months.

Artist submissions

Artist submissions are currently sent directly to NextGen Sessions by Instagram DM or email. The website does not collect or store an artist-submission form.

Information an artist chooses to send is used only to review the music and, where appropriate, reply about a possible fit with NextGen Sessions. Messages sent through Instagram are also subject to Instagram/Meta’s privacy terms, while email is handled by the relevant email providers.

Do not include sensitive personal information in a music submission.

YouTube and external links

Embedded YouTube players connect to YouTube only after a visitor presses play. Links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, SoundCloud or other external services are governed by those services’ own privacy terms.

Questions or deletion requests

To ask about this notice or request deletion of information sent directly to NextGen Sessions, email submissions@nextgensessions.com. Aggregate site events contain no visitor identifier, so they cannot be matched back to a specific person.
